Charity Concert for Noto Earthquake and Flood Disaster Relief Activities

After the January 1, 2024 earthquake in Suzu and Noto, Ishikawa Prefecture, activities were gradually progressing toward recovery, when on 9/22, Suzu and Wajima in Okunoto were hit by a torrential rain disaster. The words "Why Noto only..." and "My heart is broken" were circulating through the media.

The flooding, which occurred just as roads and other infrastructure were finally being built after the earthquake in January, has had a major impact on the way local assistance is provided, and there is a need to significantly strengthen the number of volunteers who can go into the areas and provide support.

In addition, as we head into winter, Noto must also deal with snow. We need to advance local reconstruction activities as much as possible before the snow gets deeper. In addition to human support, what is needed is logistical support for volunteers. It is impossible for volunteers to continue to pay for their own transportation, lodging, and meals. It is also very important to create an environment where they can work as long as possible. All proceeds from this concert, with the exception of hosting costs, will be used to send volunteers to Noto and to cover the costs of local activities there.
