The theme of the Richt Wind Band's 12th Regular Concert is "Japan.
You can enjoy a variety of programs from classical music that will make you feel the emotion of Japan to famous anime and TV dramas that everyone has heard of!

Part I: Classic Stage
The featured piece will be "Heaven's Island," which was the subject of the 2011 brass band competition and was also the subject of a popular TV program. In addition, American composer Julie Giroux will perform all the movements of "Bookmarks from Japan," a major work she wrote on the theme of Japan. Please enjoy the world of "harmony" woven by delicate and dynamic music.

Part 2: Ghibli Stage
An original project unique to the Richt Wind Orchestra! We will play a variety of magnificent and moving music from Studio Ghibli's masterpieces. Please look forward to a special stage where nostalgia and new emotions intersect.

Part III: Pops Stage

The Richt Wind Band was formed by graduates of Tokyo Metropolitan Toshima Senior High School and Waseda University Senior High School, who are mutual students of Akio Toyoda, the permanent conductor of the Richt Wind Band.
