Aimi Kawasaki Shamisen Live

On February 15, 2025, we will welcome Ms. Aimi Kawasaki, a widely acclaimed shamisen player of the new generation, for a solo live performance. She will explain about Tsugaru shamisen in an easy-to-understand manner while performing a variety of songs, from folk songs to original compositions and cover songs. The live performance will be held in a small venue (limited to about 25 people), which is usually impossible to realize, and will provide a realistic live experience.

Manami Kawasaki Profile
Manami Kawasaki began playing the Tsugaru shamisen upon entering Waseda University. While still a student at Waseda University, she won the individual championship in the Tsugaru Shamisen Shiga National Taikai for mere mortals in the general category. In addition, he has won a total of 13 championships in duo and group competitions as well. Raised in contact with classical music since childhood, he excels at composing and performing music with an approach not found in shamisen music. His first CD album contains four original pieces, and his activities go beyond the framework of Tsugaru shamisen.
