Ruri Chikaishi
Born in Tokyo. After attending the Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, she graduated from the same university at the top of her class.
While a student, she performed with the Philharmonia Orchestra of the University of the Arts under the direction of Tatsunori Numajiri as a soloist in the Sogakudo Morning Concert.
She won prizes at the 9th and 11th Japan Harp Competitions.
After graduation, she studied in Trieste, Italy under the late Maria Grazia Consoli, who was the principal harpist of the Teatro Verdi in Trieste.
In '06, she passed the National Conservatory of Music in Italy with the highest score and received her diploma, graduating at the top of her class from the National Conservatory of Music of Castelfranco Veneto A. Stefani. She has appeared on "Il Salotto dei concerti" (Latizana) broadcast by RAI, a recital at Maria Pucheddu's residence (Udine) and "Saggio della classe" (Trieste).
Since returning to Japan, she has performed solo, with orchestras, and in chamber music.
Kei Nakayama
Born in Kanagawa Prefecture. Graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, Department of Instrumental Music, majoring in harp.
While a student, she performed Rodrigo's Harp Concerto with the Geidai Philharmonia conducted by Yoko Matsuo as a soloist.
She participated in the PMF Music Festival, Takefu International Music Festival, and La Folle Journée Music Festival.
In 2014, she performed Mozart's "Concerto for Flute and Harp" as soloist at the Pusan Music Festival in Korea.
She has appeared in solo recitals, duo recitals with violin and flute, accompaniment for vocal recitals, and many other concerts.
She performed chamber music at the Japan International Prize Award Reception.
She won prizes in the Professional Division of the 21st and 23rd Japan Harp Competitions.
Currently, she performs solo, chamber music, and as a guest performer with various Japanese orchestras.
She has studied harp under Atsuko Yoshino, Banri Watanabe, and Risako Hayakawa. She studied chamber music under Akiko Mikami. She has also studied with I. Moretti, M.P. Langrame, and S. McDonald at overseas seminars.
