Tonika Wind Orchestra 6th Regular Concert

The first part of the concert will focus on the music of Mr. Suguru Haga, a popular composer in the brass band world, including "To the Sky of Meeting Again," which expresses the joy of "gathering under the same sky again with your precious friends and sharing the time together through music," "Gradation Sky on the Water Surface," which won the first prize and the audience prize at the 6th The program will also include "The Sky of Gradation Reflected on the Surface of Water," which won first prize and the Audience Prize at the 6th Coups de Vents International Symphonic Band Composition Competition in 2018, and "Landscape with a View of Waves (revised version)," a masterpiece by the late Toshio Majima, who inspired Suguru Haga to compose music in the first place.

In the second part, "Dance" will be the theme, with "Kokopelli Dance" composed by N. Tanoue on the theme of "Kokopelli," a fertility spirit in the Native American tradition, and the well-known "Dance of the Kokopelli" by P. Spark, a masterpiece of the late Toshio Majima. The program will also include "Dance Movement," a masterpiece by P. Spark that expresses the impressions, rhythms, and moods of various dances, and a lively piece that is symmetrical to the first part of the program.
