Wagner's "Ring of the Nibelung" will be performed over 14 hours, divided into the opening night and three days (four days in total).
The main characters (including non-humans) are all insane people who symbolize the fundamental desires of human beings and have blown up their sense of polycorruption and ethics, but the clever setting and magical music make the audience emotionally involved with them and immerse themselves in the play. This is the magic of Wagner.
In such a "mature" plot, "Siegfried," the third (2nd day), is a breath of fresh air that can be shown to children without anxiety.
There are many spectacular scenes to keep the audience entertained, but there are also many dialogue scenes that recapitulate the history of the story, making it difficult to feel emotionally involved with the characters.
In this performance, we will present a selection of spectacular scenes with cool music, including the forging of the sacred sword, the fight against the serpent and the birdsong in the forest, and the awakening of Brünnhilde and their union over the blazing fire.

The "Wa" Society, conducted and presided over by Masahiro Shirotani, who supported many opera performances including Taijiro Iimori's Wagner productions as chief music director (currently head music director) of the New National Theatre, and who conducted his own highly acclaimed first day "Die Walküre" in 2021. (a group that annually holds wonderful excerpt performances of Wagner's works), who will be conducting and leading the "Wa" Society.
