Formed at the urging of flutist Takahiro Uchiyama, this group brings together outstanding young musicians who are building their careers in the field of contemporary music. With composer/conductor Tetsuya Yamamoto as music director, the ensemble will introduce cutting-edge music from Japan and abroad, and tackle works based on a variety of values, with a focus on "contemporary music classics" that have already gained recognition and become part of the global repertoire.
As the inaugural performance of "Ensemble Recollections," we have named the program "Carte Blanche" (blank slate, all you can do) and have arranged solo and duo pieces brought by each of the members.
We hope that you will be able to witness the birth of a new ensemble.
