Chihiro Indah & Yosuke Indah Duo Recital Vol.13
Violin and cello sounds
2024/11/23(sa.) 14:00 Starting
The discovery and performance of violin and cello duet repertoire has been our life's work for some time.
Discovering and performing violin and cello duets has become our life's work, and we have spent a lot of time refining our technique and ensemble skills, which are highly demanding because of the eight strings that make up the entire ensemble. While I believe that we have been able to do many things because we are siblings, I also feel that the bonds that have been strengthened through our continued duo work have also been significant.
This year, we will start with two violinists and composers from the 18th century. Italy's
L. Borghi, and I. Handushkin, known as the "Russian Paganini. Although their tunes are completely different, they share a certain common songfulness that is very appealing. Another piece from Italy is a full-length work by M. Castelnuovoni Tedesco, who was active in the 20th century. The grandiose structure of this work, which is unique to a composer who has composed numerous film scores, is a delight as it unfolds one after another while incorporating a great deal of skill. From the contemporary repertoire, we have included works by Toshi Ichiyanagi, a composer and pianist who led the postwar Japanese avant-garde music, and H. Holliger, a virtuosi oboe player, composer, and conductor who is still at the forefront of the world.
The program was designed with the image of songs inherited from the 18th century and avant-garde music that seems to have wandered into the near future, as well as the grand drama after Holliger's works, which strongly remind us that the world is connected as it transitions from ancient times to the future.
We hope that you will enjoy the duo's evolution over time, and the world of music that continues from ancient times to the future.
