Ricoh Philharmonic Orchestra 75th Concert

The Ricoh Philharmonic Orchestra (commonly known as the RPO) was established in 1987 as a cultural club of Ricoh Company, Ltd. and holds two concerts every year as well as family concerts to welcome the local community to its offices.

Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 77 by Brahms
Music for Symphonic Winds and Strings by Yasunobu Akutagawa
Saint-Saens Symphony No.3 in C minor, Op.78 "With Organ

Conductor: Ryuichiro Ikariyama
　▶The first conductor from Kikai Island, Kagoshima Prefecture
　▶He graduated from Tokyo College of Music, Department of Conducting, and completed the graduate school of the same college (Conducting).
　▶Studied conducting under Junichi Hirokami and Yasuhiko Shiozawa.
　▶Since 2003, he has been in Germany, where he was selected to conduct Petersen's opera "The Golden Pot" in 2006, which was a great success.
　▶He has made numerous guest appearances with orchestras throughout Japan.
　▶In 2023, he will lead the orchestra concert "Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa - Kikaijima", the first orchestra concert in the history of Kikaijima, to success.
　▶Currently he is the conductor of "Niigata City Junior Orchestra Class" at Ryutopia Niigata Civic Art and Culture Hall.

Violin soloist】Karito Ohmitsu
　▶Born in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture. Graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, and completed graduate studies (music research) at the same university.
　▶Studied violin under Kazu Endo, Hiroaki Ozeki, Mamiko Furui, Fumi Hirata, Yukiko Ogawa, Federico Agostini, Taro Uemura, Takako Yamazaki, Katsuya Matsubara, and Kazuki Sawa. Studied Baroque violin under Kaoru Toda.
　▶He was concertmaster of the Bach Cantata Club of Tokyo University of the Arts from '17 to '20, and received the Toyota Cultural Newcomer Award from the Toyota City Cultural Promotion Foundation in 2023.
　▶He is the leader of the concert "Forest Common Room," and is active as a soloist and chamber musician, as well as a guest concertmaster and principal player in professional orchestras in Japan.
　▶Active as an ancient instrumentalist as well.

Organist]Yuka Ishimaru
　▶Bachelor's degree in organ from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, and postgraduate studies at the same university.
　▶Won the first prize at the Chartres International Organ Competition and the J. Allan Ministry Prize.
　▶He has given recitals in more than 10 European countries and in Japan.
　▶Since April 24, she has been the 5th organist of the Muse Hall at the Tokorozawa Civic Cultural Center.
