Urawa Philharmonic Orchestra 73rd Subscription Concert

The Urawa Philharmonic Orchestra is an amateur orchestra active in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture.
Founded in 1986, the orchestra has about 50 members and performs in an at-home atmosphere with an emphasis on ensemble.

For its 73rd subscription concert, the orchestra will perform symphonies by Schubert and Brahms.

Schubert / Symphony No. 7 "Unfinished
Schubert, who died at the age of only 31, attempted to compose as many as 14 symphonies. However, six of them were unfinished. The 7th Symphony was composed when Schubert was 25 years old, and he did not pass away without completing it. Although it is not known why he did not finish it, the "Unfinished Symphony," published and premiered several decades after his death, has become one of the most famous and popular of Schubert's works.

[Brahms / Symphony No. 3
Although Brahms' Symphony No. 3 is one of his less frequently performed symphonies, it is full of romantic sounds, especially in the middle movement, and is full of unique charm. In particular, the theme of the third movement was used in the movie "Sayonara wo Sagane (Goodbye Again)," which was adapted from Sagan's novel "Brahms is a Favorite," and has become a famous melody that everyone knows.
