OTOTON YAKKAI vol.10 -Singing

HASEMIKITA's live series "OTOTSUMI YAKAI" is a live series that delivers music from the soul, carefully planned and composed by HASEMIKITA. For this memorable 10th edition, we will be presenting a joint performance with an artist who has his own unique world view as a musician.

Aki Suzuki, a "modern-day onna basho" who looks at people and nature from her own unique perspective and sings original poems and melodies with free and unrestrained piano accompaniment. Naho Shibata, a violinist who is fascinated by Argentine tango and presides over "LAST TANGO," and who is developing a wide range of musical activities with her passionate and powerful tone.
The powerful sounds of taiko drums, free piano melodies, and passionate violin melodies intersect and sometimes overlap as if they are "singing.

◆Hasemi Kita
Born in Numazu City, Japan. He was introduced to taiko at an early age by the Kisegawa Taiko Preservation Society. While a student at Shizuoka University, he founded the wadaiko circle "Ryuin Taiko". He studied under Eitetsu Hayashi, a leading taiko drummer, and as a core member of the Eitetsu Fuun no Kai, he has studied as an expressive performer on major stages in Japan and abroad. Currently, he creates original works, mainly as a solo performer. He is the leader of UTSU-LA, a taiko school.

◆Aki Suzuki
Aki Suzuki is a free-form pianist who has been actively performing solo mainly with her original Japanese works since her CD debut on MIDI Records in 1998. After having performed in Argentina, Spain, and other countries, she has been playing old songs from Spanish and Arabic speaking countries with her own arrangements, which are not separated from her original songs. In recent years, he has been a member of the rock band "Sioux Sioux and Banchous" and the Arabic music unit "Akubi" with Yuji Tsunemi, a leading oud player in Japan.

◆Naho Shibata
Naho Shibata began playing violin at the age of 6. She studied classical music with Akiko Senzaki and tango with Fernando Suarez Paz,
After releasing her first album recorded in Buenos Aires in 2006, she frequently visited Buenos Aires to study tango with local musicians through recordings, concerts, lessons, and radio appearances. In recent years, he has also focused on producing, especially the opera "María de Buenos Aires," which premiered in Japan in 2021 in opera form and received high acclaim on radio and in magazines.
