 Duo virtus is a violin duo unit formed this year by Jun Tanimoto and Haru Karakida. virtus means "virtue" in Latin. They have been giving a series of concerts characterized by their unique performance perspective, which is not limited to conventional techniques and musicality, but aims for a precise ensemble performance through an exploration of the violin's unique timbre. Jun Tanimoto (Violin)
Jun Tanimoto graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts. He began performing in Khabarovsk, Far East Russia in 2003, and performed in the 75th anniversary concert of the Khabarovsk Symphony Orchestra in 2013. She has been performing in Russia as well as in Japan, participating in the Japan Foundation's "Russian Recital Performance" in 2015 and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' "Japan Year in Russia" in 2018.

Haru Karakita (violin)
Graduated from Tokyo College of Music. She won the first prize at the 2nd Grandir Concours. He won the 2nd Prize at the 7th International Spanish Music Competition and the Spanish Ambassador's Prize, the 2nd Prize at the 6th Japan Music Competition, the 4th Prize at the International Violin Competition Basel 2024, the 4th Prize at the 16th All Japan Art Competition, and the Excellent New Artist Prize at the 82nd Tokyo International Art Association New Artist Concert Audition. She has received instruction from Masayuki Kino, Koko Shinozaki, Asako Urushibara, Ken Takezawa, Nanako Iida, Oleh Krysa, Stepan Yakovich, and others.
