Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall Main HallKanagawa

The Waseda University Symphony Orchestra, nicknamed "Waseda-oke", is the only orchestra on campus that is exclusively composed of Waseda University undergraduates. In 2023, the orchestra celebrated its 110th anniversary, and in March of the same year, it held a "Waseda University Symphony Orchestra 110th Anniversary Special Concert in Osaka" to commemorate the occasion. In addition, "Europe Tour 2024" was held from the end of February 2024, visiting nine cities in Germany and Austria, and was well received in each city. We give 4-5 sponsored performances a year, performances at official university events and cultural programs, and performances commissioned by outside organizations.
In this performance, the orchestra will perform four pieces that it has been working on every year: Brahms' Symphony No. 2, "The Fountains of Rome" from the "Roman Trilogy" by Respighi, "The Pines of Rome," and Mozart's Overture. The program will include a wide range of pieces, from gorgeous pieces with brass and other wind instruments to pieces with a profound sound of strings. We hope you will enjoy the performance of this orchestra, which has become more powerful after the "Europe Tour 2024".
