Young Handel

The young, passionate, and talented Handel, aged 18-25, created many works during his time in Hamburg and Italy.
The program focuses on Handel's vocal works prior to his move to London, and all of the pieces will be taken from his colorful operas, cantatas, and oratorios.
The music is aggressive, energetic, and challenging...a different kind of honest and pure melody from the works of his heyday.

HWV105 "The Abandoned Armida" in its entirety
Tu del ciel ministro eletto from HWV46a "The Triumph of Time and Enlightenment
HWV6 "Non ho cor che per amanti" from "Agrippina
Come in ciel benigna stella from HWV122 "Apollo and Daphne
HWV145 "Lucrezia" excerpt
etc.


Performers
Soprano Madoka Abe
Born and lives in Morioka City.
Graduated from the Department of Voice at Showa University of Music.
（She completed the 37th Master Class of the Japan Opera Foundation. Studied voice under the late Kumiko Hosokawa, Kuniyo Yahiro, and Hiromi Yamazaki.
Currently, she is studying old music voice under Hirokie Sato.

Harpsichordist Rin Takano
Graduated at the top of his class from the Department of History and Keyboard at the National Avellino Conservatory of Music in Italy.
She studied harpsichord under Mayako Sone and Enrico Baiano. During his studies, he achieved excellent results in national and international competitions.
