Piano concert with an all Ryuichi Sakamoto program is finally realized!
Ryuichi Sakamoto, a.k.a. "Professor" Sakamoto, a world-renowned artist, continued to play the piano, perhaps his most familiar instrument, throughout his life, and he has arranged many of his own compositions, including original electronic and orchestral music, for the piano.
In his later years, he seemed to be more conscious of the sound of the acoustic piano, and even his last performance, a concert for distribution during his illness, was a solo piano performance.
In this concert, he will perform his masterpieces using only scores read by the composer himself, acoustic piano only, and no microphones.
In selecting the most important pieces, we kept in mind the most representative pieces, but also considered how to convey the appeal of Sakamoto's works from various perspectives and how to make the most of the classical sound environment.
The performance of four or eight moves by "human power," which is something new and different from his usual performances with multiple recordings on sound sources or with automatic instruments in live performances, might be a new experience for the audience?
