Alain Meunier entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris at the age of 13, where he studied chamber music at 15 and cello at 16. 18, he abruptly left the cello to study musical aesthetics, etc. At 22, with renewed determination, he entered the Conservatory of Chigiana in Italy, where he again studied cello and chamber music.
