Alain Meunier, cello
Born in Paris in 1942, Alain Meunier began playing the cello at the age of 7, entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris at 13, and at 15 received the Premiere Prix in chamber music, and at 16 the Premiere Prix in cello. At the age of 22, with renewed determination, he enrolled at the Conservatory of Chigiana in Italy, where he once again studied cello and chamber music. After graduating from the Conservatory, he performed as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the world.
He has been a professor at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. He has also served as the president of the executive committee of the International String Quartet Competition of Bordeaux, music director of the Naples Music Festival, and president of the jury of the Gaspard Casado International Cello Competition held in Japan, and is highly respected by musicians.
He has released a number of solo and chamber music CDs, including "Bach: Complete Suites for Unaccompanied Cello," all of which have been highly acclaimed.
In addition to his performance activities, he is currently active in teaching at the Imola Academy in Italy and organizing the Aubrac Music Festival.

Haruko Ueda, piano
After graduating from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and completing the graduate course at the same university, she went to France as a Rotary Foundation Scholarship student and graduated from the Conservatoire Europeen de Musique in Paris, winning a prize at the 1986 Ron Thibaud Competition and the Best Accompanist Prize at the 1995 Japan International Violin Competition.
She has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Japan and Europe. She has performed with such renowned musicians as Kantorov, Dumay, Kobayashi Mie, and Tamai Naaki on violin, Pasquier on viola, and Tsutsumi Tsuyoshi and Sasanuma Tatsuru on cello.
She has released many CDs on Japanese and French labels, including "The Complete Beethoven Violin Sonatas vol. 1-3" with Kantorov, which have been highly acclaimed by music magazines.
He is currently a professor of chamber music and associate professor of piano at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.
