Ashiya Symphony Orchestra The 99th Regular Concert

We are pleased to welcome Mr. Yuki Takai as guest conductor to perform a program with "dream" as the keyword.
The first piece, "Hansel and Gretel," is based on the Grimm's fairy tale, in which a brother and sister get lost in the forest and meet a witch who lives in a house of sweets. Evening Prayer - Pantomime" is performed as an introduction to the dream scene, and the audience is instantly transported to the world of dreams.
The second piece, "A Child's Magic Wand" Suite, is music full of tenderness and dignity, composed for a children's play. It is an adult reworking of a work Elgar composed as a child.
The third piece, "The Nutcracker," tells the story of a young girl who is given a nutcracker on Christmas Eve and travels with the doll through a world of dreams. It is known as one of the masterpieces of classical ballet. The second act, in particular, features a number of famous pieces, and the audience will enjoy the glamorous and elegant music.
How will the Ashiya Symphony Orchestra, which will perform with Mr. Takai for the first time, express the program full of dreams?
