Pianist to be celebrated by the Center for Arts and Culture
Ms. Naoko Kawamura is a world-renowned pianist based in Germany. Born in Nishinomiya City, she moved to Europe at the age of five, and became the center of attention when she won the second prize at the 2006 Munich International Competition and the first prize at the Clara Haskil International Competition the following year. Since her first concert with the PAC Orchestra in 2007, she has been a regular guest at the PAC almost every year, performing a variety of programs that have captivated us.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of her debut, we are pleased to present a commemorative recital. The program is a challenge for pianists, requiring a wide variety of expression, from Bach/Busoni chaconne to commissioned works by contemporary composers, Prokofiev, and Chopin's Sonata No. 3, which will be performed for the first time in concert.
