Kobe Philharmonic 88th Subscription Concert
The 88th Regular Concert - Lyricism and Melancholy
2024/10/13(su.) 14:00 Starting
Kobe Bunka Hall, Main Hall (Hyogo)
Official http://www.kobephilharmonic.jp/
The 88th subscription concert of the Kobe Philharmonic will feature Brahms' Violin Concerto and Bruckner's Symphony No. 4, which marks the 200th anniversary of his birth this year, featuring Ms. Yukino Nakamura, a native of Kobe City who has won numerous competitions in Japan and abroad.
In the first half of the concert, Ms. Nakamura will perform with extraordinary enthusiasm in her hometown of Kobe, and we hope you will fully enjoy the melancholy melody of Brahms' Violin Concerto, which is said to be one of the three greatest violin concertos.
In the second half, we will enjoy Bruckner's Symphony No. 4 to the fullest. The Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Chitose Asahina, gave the first performance of Bruckner's Symphony No. 4 in its original version in Japan. Because of this history, conductor Asahina's passion for this symphony is considerable. The Kobe Philharmonic, which will soon celebrate its 45th anniversary, will perform Bruckner with all its might.
We hope you will enjoy the essence of German Romantic music created by these two great composers, where European lyricism and melancholy intermingle, to your heart's content as you feel the changing of the seasons in deep autumn.
