About ◆Special Concert 2024:
　Orchestra Wakyo Special Concert 2024 will be conducted by Mr. Hikaru Ebihara, who will be performing with Orchestra Wakyo for the first time. We will also invite world-renowned horn player, Prof. Shinyo Fukukawa, to perform a concerto. The program will be Glière's Horn Concerto, full of gorgeous and romantic melodies. Don't miss this unique collaboration between these two musicians and the orchestra, the Japanese Symphony Orchestra!
　As for the program, the orchestra will maintain its characteristic cross-genre concept, and will perform three pieces from the suite of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," the first film in the "Harry Potter" series, which has been loved by children and adults around the world. Also, speaking of Japanese orchestra, we will feature works by Japanese composers, and this year we will feature "Japanese Rhapsody," which is the starting point of Akira Ifukube, who is celebrating the 110th anniversary of his birth and the 70th anniversary of his masterpiece, "Godzilla," this year. And from the classical works, we will feature Prokofiev's ballet music "Romeo and Juliet," a work based on the literature of the English playwright Shakespeare. Romeo and Juliet" is not a specific suite, but an original excerpt by the Japanese Symphony Orchestra for this concert.

◆About "Orchestra Wakyo":
The name "Wa-kyo" is intended to mean "the sound of harmony between people". Orchestra Wah-kyo is composed of individual members who share this philosophy, and is not affiliated with any particular organization. The name "Wa-Kyo" expresses our wish to weave a musical circle with the sound and resonance of harmony, which is born out of gratitude for the relationships between people and out of respect for each other.
　The concept of our orchestra is "cross-genre. We are sincerely committed to any genre of music, including classical, dramatic, and game music, and hope to deliver the charm of each type of music with high quality performances.
