Osaka International Chamber Music Competition 2023, Section 2, 1st Prize
Capybara Piano Quartet
────────────────
The Capybara Piano Quartet was formed from the meeting of young soloists from four European cities: Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam and Kronberg.
Having received instruction at the prestigious Seiji Ozawa International Academy from renowned predecessors Sadao Harada and Nobuko Imai, Okada, Konoe, and Kim shared a passion for chamber music, and together with pianist Hering, they embarked on a journey together as a piano quartet.
Each has won prizes at major international competitions (Munich, Geneva, Leeds, Kreisler, Casado) and have appeared as soloists and chamber musicians on prominent stages in Europe and abroad. In the Osaka International Chamber Music Competition 2023, the trio won the first prize with an overwhelming presence in a field of piano trios that had won prizes in other international chamber music competitions.
