Jun Hayakawa: Bandoneon
Winner of the Heinrich Band International Bandoneon Competition held in Sardinia, Italy in August 2022. Graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, Department of Musicology. Obtained a unanimous first prize in Jazz DEM from Genevilliers Conservatory of Music, and moved to France in 2013 to study bandoneon with Mr. Mossarini. After returning to Japan in 2015, he began a project to tour the country as a bandoneon soloist. He pursues the possibilities of the bandoneon by combining his well-established powerful performance style with the sensitive expressiveness he learned from Mossarini.
