Tarihere Trio Concert

In the history of modern French music, there is one incident that remains in the minds of many people: the Ravel Affair. The Paris Conservatory was reformed after the dismissal of Théodore Dubois, the director of the Paris Conservatory, who was in charge of judging the competition, and the appointment of Fauré as his successor. This is the "Ravel Affair. However, this is a false history. In fact, Du Bois had publicly announced that he would resign as director in search of compositional freedom several months before Ravel's failure in the Prix de Rome competition. This distorted history, however, has gone on by itself, and a storm of modernist praise for Fauré has caused the conservative Du Bois to disappear from the stage of history. Theodore Du Bois is a forgotten composer.
In recent years, however, Du Bois's music is being reevaluated and has reappeared on the stage of history. This year marks the 100th anniversary of Dubois' death. Since Fauré also died in the same year, Dubois has been overshadowed by Fauré, but we would like to take this opportunity to introduce Dubois' music, which is different from Fauré's and full of charm.
