Holiday in the Forest" is a program of selected masterpieces of classical music. This year's Machida performance features works related to the Czech Republic, a country in Central Europe. The first piece will be Dvorak's "Wind Serenade. The first piece will be Dvorak's "Serenade for Wind Instruments," an ensemble of wind instruments rarely heard. More than 13 years have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake. Although the reconstruction of Tohoku has been progressing steadily, it is still important for us to "never forget that day. We support the town of Yamamoto, Miyagi Prefecture, in our annual "Holiday in the Forest: Charity Performance for the Disaster Relief" held in mid-September, six months later than the previous year. This year again, we will deliver relief money directly to Yamamoto-cho, which is famous for its delicious fruits such as strawberries and grapes, as well as seafood.
