Jiro Yoshioka and Hiroshi Nagao tag team to present a full-length concert of Bach's Trio Sonatas with flute and piano. The audience will experience the world of music based on carefully selected scores. Please enjoy the depth and beauty of music through Bach's works.

~ In honor of the concert

Originally written for a single organist, the six three-part Trio Sonatas BWV 525-530 will be performed by two players, flute and piano. The six sonatas were consciously compiled by Johann Sebastian Bach in 1727-1729 for the educational purpose of his eldest son, Wilhelm Friedemann, as an organist, but there are documents of their existence as related chamber pieces prior to that. There are also records of arrangements by Mozart and other composers of the time. The Bärenreiter version of Kirchner's arrangement has been chosen for this project because it follows this trend.
I have given many independent concerts in the past, but this may be the first time to put together a concert of J. S. Bach's works alone. I hope you will come and enjoy the world of Bach that I have created with Hiroshi Nagao, a pianist I have great confidence in.
