Setagaya Citizens' Choir 32nd Regular Concert
2024/09/29(su.) 15:00 Starting
The Setagaya Ward Citizens' Chorus was established in 1989 at the suggestion of the late Mr. Yasushi Akutagawa, and is the largest mixed chorus group in Setagaya Ward with 120 members.
The members are chorus lovers who live, work, or study in the ward, and participate in regular concerts and other concerts in and outside the ward. They perform a wide variety of music, from major classical pieces to Japanese mixed choral works and popular tunes. The group also performs at local welfare facilities and is widely popular among the public.
This time, for the first time since the Corona disaster, we would like to share the joy of singing with the general public in the newly renovated Setagaya Kumin Kaikan Hall, just as we did before.
The program will include Faure's "Requiem" by Hideaki Sakamoto, music director and conductor; four pieces by Takatomi Nobunaga and Kosaku Matsushita as a collection of works that lit a ray of hope in the aftermath of the Corona disaster, conducted by Norio Sugiyama; and six excerpts from "Japanese Lyric Songs 2," by Hikaru Hayashi. Electronic tickets will be available for your convenience. Please feel free to come and enjoy the concert.
