The 57th Regular Concert of the Hikarigaoka Orchestra
2024/06/29(sa.) 14:30 Starting
*There will be a pre-concert concert from 14:00.
This is the first time for me to perform with Mr. Tokito, the conductor.
This is the first time for me to work with a conductor twice in a row.
We cherish both the close rehearsals with a familiar conductor and the fresh stimulation with a new conductor.
Mr. Tokito's wealth of experience will help us convey the cute charm of Mendelssohn, but how far can we push ourselves as the work is technically and physically demanding?
We look forward to seeing you there.
Organization Overview
We are a two-manual orchestra that has been performing in Hikarigaoka since 1994.
We are not a large orchestra, but we value ensemble above all else and try to listen to each other's sound.
We practice with the aim of being as small but spicy as the pepper used in the logo of the orchestra, while at the same time remembering to have fun.
Management
Since the first regular concert held in May 1994, the orchestra's program and conductor have been decided by discussion and vote of all members.
The management of the orchestra is not left to any particular member, but is shared by all.
Musical items to be performed
The orchestra performs mainly two winds, and actively performs classical and romantic music, as well as modern and contemporary works by Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Ravel, Debussy, and others. We also challenge diverse instrumentation, such as the string ensembles of Tchaikovsky and Brahms, and Mozart's concertantes.
