Miho Watanabe (Violin)
Born in Nagoya, Japan, Miho Watanabe began playing the violin at the age of three, studying under Shigeko Hayashi, the late Ryosaku Kubota, the late Gerhard Bosse, Juraal Boulez, and Kazuki Sawa. He won the first prize in the high school division of the 53rd All Japan Student Music Competition. After graduating from the Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music of Tokyo University of the Arts, he graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts. He received the Acanthus Music Prize and entered the graduate school of the same university. In 2006, while still in graduate school, he joined the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, where he served as second violinspieler until 2012. In the same year, he was appointed concertmaster of the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, a position he held until 2014. He has performed as a soloist with the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, the Central Aichi Symphony Orchestra, and the Philharmonia of the University of the Arts. He is currently active as a guest concertmaster of various orchestras in Japan, as well as a soloist and chamber musician. He is a member of the Yokohama Sinfonietta 2018 season.

Rina Kurata (Piano)
Graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris, the Conservatoire de Region de Paris, and Toho Gakuen School of Music. She won the third prize (without first prize) at the Jean Francais International Competition in France, the first prize in the Chopin International Competition in Asia for University Students and the Chopin Society Prize, the Special Prize for Hungarian Music at the Ile-de-France International Competition in France, the first prize in the French Music Competition in France in the double-bass section, and many other prizes at competitions in Japan and abroad. Since 2013, she has also been teaching in French and Japanese to younger students. She has studied piano under Franck Braley, Haruko Ueda, Pierre Léacque, Nobutatsu Kawashima, Satoko Sekine, Michiru Moriguchi, Eric Le Sage, and Paul Mayer. Residence artist at Kanakku Hall.
