Rainer Küchl and Hiroyuki Kato Unofficial

The first concert with Rainer Küchl, who continues to travel the world after his retirement as concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic, will feature pianist Hiroyuki Kato, a close friend of the orchestra, celebrating the 25th anniversary of their first concert together. Guests include Bernhard Naoki Hedenborg, a cellist with the Vienna Philharmonic, and they will explore the essence of the ensemble in such works as the Kreutzer Sonata, in which the two instruments clash and speak eloquently to each other, and a piano trio that Schumann wrote to celebrate his wife Clara's birthday.
