The Ichikawa Symphony Orchestra (Ichikyo), based in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, will perform a concert.
The orchestra will be conducted by Kyotaro Sawamura, winner of the Artistic Culture Encouragement Award from the Ichikawa Cultural Promotion Foundation. Mr. Sawamura is an up-and-coming maestro who studied at the graduate school of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and studied mainly opera in Italy. Please look forward to his collaboration with the Ichikawa Symphony Orchestra.
The first half of the program is a collection of opera overtures: Mozart/Overture to "The Marriage of Figaro," Rossini/Overture to "The Barber of Seville," and Verdi/Overture to "La Forza del Destino. Please look forward to the conducting of Mr. Sawamura, who is active mainly in operas.
The second half will be Respighi's symphonic poem "Roman Festival", the first challenge for the Ichikawa Symphony Orchestra.
