Sylph-🌿🌿.
Formed in 2022. Duo group consisting of two sopranos, Ayaka Omori and Nana Nishitani. They plan concerts and other events that convey the charm of 16th and 17th century English music, with a focus on the works of composer H. Purcell.
The name "Sylph" represents a fairy who governs the winds, and the group is named after her desire to deliver colorful musical winds.
SYU KATAYAMA / PIANO
Raised in Otaru City, Hokkaido. She studied piano at Tokyo College of Music and composition at Toho Gakuen School of Music. As a pianist, she has won many awards including the 41st Pitina Piano Competition Special Class Grand Prix and Audience Award.
As a composer, he won the first prize in the composition category of the 28th Sogakudo Japanese Song Competition (the first ever without second prize) and other awards. His scores have been published by Kawai Publishing Co.
He has studied piano under Kayoko Hyuga, Kanae Saito, Mari Takeda, Seizo Azuma, and Nobuyuki Hirose, and composition under Eisuke Tsuchida and Shinichiro Kato.
