The Aoyama Gakuin Orchestra is the official student orchestra of Aoyama Gakuin University.
Founded in 1954, the orchestra currently has over 100 members and is based on the basic concept of "having fun in a serious way" and the philosophy of finding enjoyment in the seriousness of music and the joy of creating music together.
The group performs in a variety of musical activities, including biannual subscription concerts (at Tokyo Opera City and other venues), an all-Aoyama Messiah performance in December, and performances at degree award ceremonies.
All seats are free and unreserved, but advance reservations are requested.
