Fumio Hayasaka - 110th anniversary of his birth, Smetana - 200th anniversary of his birth
This will be the debut performance of Tatsuya Shimono, who will assume the position of Principal Guest Conductor in April 2024. The maestro, who has always been deeply concerned with the history and culture behind orchestras and music, will perform a work by Fumio Hayasaka, who is associated with Hokkaido, and the complete works of Smetana's "My Homeland," which are very important to the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra because of his memories of Elishka, and also special to Shimono himself.
