The Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra led by Yutaka Sado makes its first appearance at Summer Musa! The orchestra has achieved success in the rare activity of bringing together outstanding young players selected from all over the world to give a series of professional performances for a limited period of time. The orchestra is a popular one that has sold out many of its performances, which are both of high standard and enthusiastic, as each performance is a serious competition. Their enthusiasm for this year's Summer Musica can be fully appreciated by the fact that they will be performing Schoenberg's "Pelléas et Mélisande," a very difficult piece that marks the 150th anniversary of the composer's birth.
