Percussion Ensemble Japan [Discovery and Rediscovery

Immersive Theater Concert

2024/07/22(mo.)

Bunkyo Civic Hall, Small HallTokyo

▶︎ A percussion trio formed in April 2023 by Shingo Takase, Rie Hotta, and Yuka Maruyama. All members have studied abroad in Europe and won awards at competitions, and are active both in Japan and abroad.
▶︎Their concept is an "immersive concert" that cannot be experienced on a screen, and this performance will measure the integration of the venue by creating a venue that can be moved around during the concert like a museum, and by lighting effects.
▶︎ The program will consist of simple instrumentation, with Toru Takemitsu's "Ame no Ki" as the main piece. A new piece will be commissioned to Wataru Mukai, winner of the 33rd Yasunobu Akutagawa Suntory Composition Award, and will be performed in collaboration with him at the next concert in 2025.
