The Age of the Russian Five in woodwind quintet
M. Mussorgsky "Pictures at an Exhibition" (woodwind quintet version), etc.
This is a concert by the woodwind quintet ensemble, which has been active for 10 years. Centering on Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition," the ensemble will arrange masterpieces by the Russian Quintet (Balakirev, Cui, Korsakov, and Borodin) to offer a glimpse of the activities of the National School at the end of Imperial Russia, just before the birth of Impressionism. In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the group's activities, an encore feature will look back on the history of the group. The orchestra's arrangers will also be on hand.
This year, unlike in previous years, the venue will be Salone Fontana (in front of Seijo Gakuen).

We are pleased to announce the program for the August 24 (Sat.) performance.
New" is a newly arranged piece for this performance. It will be performed for the first time on that day.
The arrangement is by Masayuki Arai and Genki Harada, who have been our arrangers for the past 10 years.
