　The main character Renge, who earns his living as a part-time actor in a small theater in Tokyo, comes to Tokyo from Nara to attend his father Shiro Sugi's college reunion on the day before Christmas Eve in 2023, but gets into an argument with his friend and collapses on the spot, losing consciousness. Renge rushes to the hospital and receives a notebook that Sugishiro had in his possession from the doctor.
　Sugishiro, who had not regained consciousness by the end of the year, was transferred to a hospital in Nara, his hometown, and Renge was also transferred back to his parents' home. Renge is reunited with her favorite best friend Shun. Sugishiro raised Shun without parents as if he were his own child, and his notebook was filled with memories of Renge and Shun. The two pray for Sugishiro's recovery and start growing lotus roots again in the lotus field where Sugishiro used to grow lotus roots when he was a child. A real estate agent appears before Renge, who is tilling the deserted lotus field, and tells her that Sugishiro's lotus field is for sale. I want Shiro Sugishiro to see the lotus flowers again! Will Renge and Shun's prayers be answered? What is the link between Sugishiro, who lives in the world of the unconscious, and Renge and his friends, who live in the world of the conscious?

We will make a happy ending.
