Trio Fu-Guruma 2024

The one and only trio "Kaze Guruma" celebrating 12 years since its formation.

Their unique view of the world is attractive not only for works by Yuji Takahashi, but also for old music and German lieder.

Katsuki Tochio's baritone saxophone is one of the highlights of the concert, and Hatano describes it as "like a cotton-like sound dancing in the air," freely manipulating its beautiful and colorful sound. Since few of the works are written for saxophone, the saxophone appears variously as a bass continuo at times and as a melody at others.

Mutsumi Hatano positions herself as the "voice" in this trio. She is not a mezzo-soprano or a singer. What is her heart? We hope you will find out at the live performance. Hatano's ability to produce is also worthy of special mention. Her recent performance at Oji Hall was highly acclaimed not only for her performance but also for her production. You will be able to enjoy that as a part of the performance.

And finally, Yuji Takahashi. Mr. Takahashi is a musician whom Tochio and Hatano respect very much.
Mr. Takahashi's music is very difficult, but it allows me to be free. What does that mean? Is it to be released from "time" and "space" and to be transported into a world of sensitivity and longing?
