Aurora Orchestra 31st Regular Concert

2024/06/09(su.) 13:30 Starting

Sumida Triphony Hall, Main HallTokyo

Official http://www.avrora.me/

The Aurora Orchestra celebrated its 30th regular concert in February this year and began a new voyage toward the next future. To mark the beginning of this new journey, we have chosen Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5, one of the most popular symphonies of all time and from all over the world. It has been 11 years since the last performance, but the members have changed dramatically since then, and we hope to present the "unique Aurora" Tchaikovsky sound, which will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience with new members.
In this performance, we will also be presenting two unknown masterpieces: the unknown dramatic music of Kalinnikov, who left his mark on history with his immortal masterpiece, Symphony No. 1, and the atmospheric orchestral suite of Glazunov, who was a bridge from Tchaikovsky to Shostakovich during the turbulent early 20th century in Russia. The Aurora Orchestra will perform two fine works by Glazunov, the master of the early 20th century in Russia. We hope that many people will enjoy this unique selection of music by the Aurora Orchestra.
We hope you will take time out of your busy schedule to come to the Sumida Triphony Hall in Kinshicho on June 9, the day of the concert, when early summer is in the air. We look forward to seeing you there.
