Urawa Philharmonic Orchestra

The 72nd Regular Concert

The Urawa Philharmonic Orchestra is an amateur orchestra active in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture. Founded in 1986, the orchestra has about 50 members and performs in an at-home atmosphere with an emphasis on ensemble.

The 72nd Regular Concert will feature two symphonies.

Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 4 "Italia" is a work full of dashing rhythms and lilting melodies.
Many composers such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Berlioz, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Liszt, Debussy, etc. have written works inspired by Italy. Italy's climate, history, and cityscapes must have appealed to the inspiration of the composers.
Please enjoy the music while feeling the season of spring to early summer when life is budding.

Dvorak's Symphony No. 7 has a subdued image compared to the fresh No. 8 and the famous No. 9 "New World," but it is a deep masterpiece whose charm increases the more you enjoy it.

This will be the first subscription concert after the reopening of the concert hall, which has been renovated and reborn.
We hope you will enjoy the rich sound of these two symphonies with different characteristics in the beautiful acoustics of the hall.
