Sekishi Wind Ensemble 43rd Regular Concert
2024/06/30(su.) 14:00 Starting
Act City Hamamatsu, Medium Hall (Shizuoka)
Official http://www.sekishiwind.com/
The Sekishi Wind Ensemble was formed in the fall of 1980 by graduates of Sekishi Junior High School. Currently, we are an adult band of wind ensemble members from the suburbs of Hamamatsu, Japan.
This year's concert will feature four pieces from the All Japan Wind Band Competition of yesteryear, including "Felistus" by Susumu Aoki, "Kazamon" by Hiroshi Hoshina, and "Suite Space Battleship Yamato" composed by Yasushi Miyagawa and arranged by Akira Miyagawa for wind ensemble. In the second part, P. Spark's "Orient Express," J. Van der Roost's "Riksudim," and M. Arnold's "The Inn that Bestows the Sixth Happiness" (arranged by Munetoshi Seo) will be performed on the theme of a journey from Europe to China.
The group has been practicing to create a beautiful wind ensemble sound. We hope you will come and experience the beauty of wind music.
