Up-and-coming violinist Yakov Pavlenko makes his first visit to Japan!

The phenomenally talented Yasha Pavlenko, with his Ukrainian identity and German heritage at his core, is coming to Japan for the first time. Known as a one-of-a-kind figure in Ukrainian music, he continues to captivate the world at just 19 years old.

Yakov Pavlenko was born in Berlin to Ukrainian parents and began playing the violin at the age of five. He then honed his talent at the Hanover University of Music, Drama, and Media, where he studied with Professor Inacher.

His career has already been marked by numerous honors at a young age. He is the youngest winner of the 25th German Music Foundation Competition, the youngest winner of the Odessa International Competition, and most recently, the Special Prize for the best performance of a commissioned work at the 2024 Stuttgart International Violin Competition.

He has also performed with the orchestra all over the world. His music has been praised by many, including performances with Mischa Maisky at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and with the Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra.
