Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra 1000th Orchard Subscription Concert Unofficial

Myung-Whun Chung's Messiaen "Turangalila Symphony" will be realized. This will be one of the most remarkable performances representing the Tokyo Philharmonic's subscription concerts of the season. When the Maestro recorded this work with the Orchestre de la Bastille of the Paris Opera in 1990, Messiaen himself was present and gave it great praise, even saying that it would "set the standard for the future. The maestro continued to communicate with Messiaen until his later years, and this work has been performed frequently in France. This is the first time the Maestro has performed with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra since 2007, and we cannot hide our excitement at the prospect of the ultimate Messiaen experience in this masterful performance that will be the culmination of this duo's work together.
