In the first half, please enjoy the charm of Richard Strauss' fine piece "Metamorphosen" in its septet arranged version straight away.
For the second piece, we welcome the supreme violinist Ryo Mikami, guest concertmaster of the Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra, and look forward to Brahms' Violin Concerto, the best solo by Amati (1628), and the trusted ensemble of Maruyama and Mikami that they have established in the Virtus Quartet.
The main program will feature Maruyama's latest and most meticulous interpretation of Beethoven's early masterpiece, Symphony No. 2.
