This is a concert for families with young children to casually enjoy live piano performance.
Classical pieces and children's songs with a spring theme will be performed by solo piano and gorgeous piano duet (4 hands on each piano).
Children are welcome to sing, move around, and enjoy the concert freely even if they cry or make noise.
Performers
Yumi Nagao
Born in Fukushima Prefecture. Graduated from Ochanomizu University, Department of Art and Expressive Behavior, Music Expression Course, and completed the graduate school of Ochanomizu University, and earned credits in the doctoral program of the same university.
She won the Bronze Prize in the 16th Tohoku Music Competition for Youth, Course A, performed at the 3rd Ochanomizu University Music Department Recommended Newcomer Concert, won the Good Performance Award in the 19th Japan Classical Music Competition, and won the Excellence Prize in F Division in the 4th All Japan Art Competition. She won the Excellent Accompanist Award at the 31st Asia International Music Concert. Currently, she is a piano instructor at Miyaji Gakki Music School and a piano instructor at Edogawa University, while performing as a piano soloist, ensemble member, and accompanist.
Satomi Kato
Born in Saitama Prefecture. Graduated from Ochanomizu University, Department of Art and Expressive Behavior, Music Expression Course. Completed graduate studies in piano at the Munich State University of Music and Drama, Germany. During her studies, she performed in many concerts throughout Europe.
Awarded the Yomiuri Prize at the 3rd All Japan Saimyo Musica Concorso. Awarded the Jury Encouragement Prize at the 3rd Tokyo Piano Competition. First prize in the piano section of the 2nd Erik Satie International Music Competition (Italy). Finalist at the 19th Kulturkreis Gasteig Musikpreis Competition (Germany). First prize in the piano section of the 11th International Music Competition of Padova (Italy), and performed at the prize winners' gala concert. After returning to Japan, she has been teaching younger students and performing mainly in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
