Ensemble Jupiter Spring Concert 2024

In 2024, Ensemble Jupiter will celebrate its 20th anniversary season. In the autumn, the Ensemble will perform Beethoven's "Ninth Symphony" as the culmination of its 20th anniversary season, but in the Spring Concert, which will serve as a prelude to this year's performance, the Ensemble will return to its roots by recreating the program of the first subscription concert.

Needless to say, the name "Jupiter" of this orchestra comes from this symphony. The name "Jupiter" is not only a reference to the fact that the symphony was performed in the first concert, but also to our respect for this work, one of the greatest and most fascinating in music history, and our determination to always aim for a high level of precision and quality that lives up to its name.

The first half of the concert features Mendelssohn's overture "A Midsummer Night's Dream," a work in which the child prodigy is even more vivid than Mozart, and Elgar's "Serenade for Strings," a work with unforgettable nostalgia and rural lyricism in England at the height of its prosperity at the end of the 19th century.
