The third installment of the Chamber Music Series for the 2023-2012 season will be "PAC STRINGS! The guest performer will be Wenxiao Tseng, Principal Viola of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, and the ensemble will perform three pieces. The program opens with Elgar's "Introduction and Allegro. It is an unusual composition in which a string quartet is placed among the string orchestra, and the melancholy melody of this piece is beautiful. Next was the Viola Concerto by Telemann, a representative composer of late Baroque music. This important repertoire, said to be the oldest of all viola concertos, will be performed both solo by Zeng and by PAC members. Dvorak's Serenade for Strings, the last piece to be performed, is characterized by a beautiful melody full of euphoria.
