The group was founded in 1997 and has been performing twice a year in principle, starting with the first concert in June 1998. We aim to be an orchestra that can create a wide range of music, mixing seasons of relatively large-scale compositions with seasons of medium-scale compositions that focus on the joy of ensemble and functional training of the orchestra. The orchestra has performed with conductors Shuntaro Sato, Yoshikazu Tanaka, Kyohei Tomihei, Masato Osada, Naoki Tachibana, Yoko Matsuo, Yuri Nitta, Shinji Moriguchi, etc. In 2008, the orchestra held its 10th anniversary concert at Suntory Hall, and in 2012 invited Mari Endo (Vc) and Nao Yamada (Va) to be the soloists. In 2018, the 40th anniversary concert featured an "All R. Strauss Program" including the symphonic poem "Zarathustra Speaks". In addition, the orchestra plans to continue its energetic activities, including the pops concert "POPS HA'MON," the chamber music concert "Ensemble HA'MON 2022," and the "High School de HA'MON" school visit performance.
