200 years since the first performance of the Ninth, a journey in search of DNA

Classical and modern, classical and fluent. In celebration of the 200th anniversary of the first performance of the Ninth, the "Ongakudo Series: Classical Modern" will present "Dust," a work first performed in 1987, which straddles the boundaries of history and celebrates the contact points of classical music. The piece by Lachenmann, which is a radical reworking of the Ninth, is a much-talked-about work that was initially rejected in Europe. The ultimate DNA work of the Ninth and the third symphony in the second half, which is filled with the essence of the Ninth's creation.
